Petaling Jaya, Dec 20:
Expressing opposition to the ongoing persecution and suppression of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh, a joint prayer session is set to take place to seek their protection, announced Thangha Ganesan, National President of the Malaysian Hindu Sangam.
The joint prayer event will be held this Sunday, December 22, at 8:00 a.m., at the Arulmigu Kasi Viswanathar Temple located within the KL Eco City complex in Jalan Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.
Members of Hindu religious organizations in the Klang Valley, Hindu community enthusiasts, and the general public are expected to gather for this event, during which a group ritual will be conducted for the welfare of Bangladeshi Hindus.
The program, which will run until 1:00 p.m., will include the lighting of oil lamps and prayers for the well-being of Hindus living in Bangladesh. In a related statement, Sri Kasi Sangabhooshan Thangha Ganesan emphasized the need for this collective effort.
Additionally, he urged all temple leaders and managers across the country to consider conducting similar prayers and rituals for the safety of Bangladeshi Hindus and for the preservation of Hinduism in that land, as this could bring about positive outcomes.
The event will also feature a press conference at 11:00 a.m., according to Thangha Ganesan.
