Georgetown Did 13-SkyWorld Development Group has entered a historic Joint Development Agreement with Penang Development Corporation (PDC) and PDC Properties to deliver Malaysia’s largest affordable housing initiative in Penang under the Rumah Bakat Baru MADANI scheme
The monumental project will span 34 acres in Seberang Jaya and 161.5 acres in Batu Kawan, offering over 35,000 affordable homes priced between RM225,000 and RM420,000. These homes will be developed under the Rumah Mampu Milik and Rumah Bakat Baru MADANI schemes, aligning with the government’s vision to ensure accessible and high-quality housing for Malaysians.
The signing ceremony, held in Kuala Lumpur, was graced by key national leaders, including Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Housing and Local Government Minister YB Nga Kor Ming, and Penang Chief Minister YAB Tuan Chow Kon Yeow.
This ambitious project is a significant contribution to Malaysia’s goal of constructing 500,000 affordable homes by 2025. It is expected to drive sustainable economic growth in the region while enabling more Malaysians to achieve their dream of homeownership.
